Best Way to Visit


A one-hour journey through the A8 highway from Lisbon is all it takes to get to Óbidos via car. Those without a car can take a public bus or train; note that the train station is a bit out of town center. When you finally arrive, the best thing about the town is the walking. Cobblestones, medieval castles, and snaking labyrinths are best experienced leisurely, and it is better to soak the sights, sounds, and spoils of this town's magical town.


Best Time to Visit Óbidos


The best time to visit Óbidos Portugal is in the spring (April to June) or fall (September to October). Of these times, the weather is fairly pleasureable compared to summer, and quite a few fewer in number are the casualities one can appreciate slowly and quickly drawn to the sites. Of course, tourists are more visible in summer, but on the peak days, they also enjoy one of the most beautiful events—the Medieval Market, among others.


The off-season runs from November to March, making this time the best solitude experience. Most places and restaurants, however, are closed or have reduced hours during this time.
